About the speaker

John Areschoug brings close to a decade of hands-on experience from across the warehouse automation industry. He began his career in logistics operations at Arla Foods before moving into the automotive supply chain at Volvo Cars’ Central Distribution Center — giving him a rare, ground-level perspective on the real demands of warehouse environments before he ever designed one.

He joined TGW Logistics Group in 2017 through their graduate program, spending time at TGW’s headquarters in Wels, Austria before building a career as an Applications Engineer and later Solution Designer in the Gothenburg office. In January 2025, he stepped into his current role as Business Development Manager for Northern Europe, where he identifies and develops automation opportunities across TGW’s core verticals: grocery, apparel, and industrial & consumer goods.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. He is known for a data-driven, fact-based approach to problem solving — equally comfortable in AutoCAD and Python as in a boardroom conversation about supply chain strategy.

Turning Operational Challenges into Scalable Solutions

Operational challenges in a warehouse rarely come alone. Throughput bottlenecks, labour dependency, error rates, space constraints — they tend to compound. In this session, John Areschoug, Business Development Manager for TGW Northern Europe, walks through how to move from identifying a challenge to designing an automated solution that holds up as your business grows. Drawing on close to a decade of solution design and business development across grocery, apparel, and industrial goods, John brings a practical, data-driven perspective to one of the industry’s most common questions: where do you actually start?
